FedEx Express to Commence Domestic Service in Mexico
The express transportation subsidiary of the FedEx Corporation, FedEx Express, announced this week that the company will commence domestic services within Mexico from early October.
To be known as
the FedEx Express Nacional service, among the products available to Mexican consumers via FedeX Express Nacional will be a domestic next-business-day service that provides highly reliable, convenient and quality express shipping solutions across the country.
The entrance into the Mexican domestic market represents a continuation by FedEx Express of entering into domestic markets in various locations around the Globe. Indeed the Mexico service comes after FedEx Express has already expanded into nations such as China, India and the United Kingdom. Mexico however is the first nation in Latin America to see a domestic FedEx Express service.
Commenting on the launch of FedEx Express Nacional, the President of the Latin America and Caribbean division of FedEx Express, Juan Cento said of the move that FedEx Express was "responding to an opportunity in the market for a domestic service in Mexico, delivering the same high-quality service, reliability and unparalleled transportation expertise FedEx provides in 220 countries and territories around the world.”
Cento went further by saying that adding the domestic service to the company’s broad range of international products "increases our ability to further facilitate commerce for customers doing business in Mexico", something that Cento said demonstrated the continued commitment to the market and the company’s confidence in the markets future growth.”
Available at all existing FedEx facilities in Mexico, the FedEx Express Nacional service will commence on October six and feature delivery to any address in Mexico, the service including an online tracking and tracing capability.
