TNT Re-Branding Indian Venture

Amsterdam headquartered mail and express delivery company, TNT N.V. has announced that their Indian venture Speedage will be re-branded to TNT, to reflect the Indian company’s integration into TNT’s  global express network.

Acquired by TNT N.V. in September of 2006, Speedage had been the integral to TNT N.V. strategy to TNTbecome a market leader in the Indian market.  The move to now re-brand speedage as TNT is an effort by the company to see the TNT brand more recognisable in India.  Consequently all speedage vehicles, employees and buildings in India will now sport the traditional TNT orange and white as well as TNT branding.

Commenting on the re-branding of Speedage to TNT, Abhik Mitra, the Managing Director of TNT in India said that Speedage’s re-branding was "the first acquisition in India by one of the top four express players to be re-branded."  Mitra added that as a result of the re-branding, the company "now offers customers a single point solution for international air, domestic next day and domestic day-definite services, using an integrated air-road network."

With its headquarters in Bangalore, TNT in India employs some 3500 employees and operates 614 depots, 29 hubs and 1,546  road line-haul vehicles all over India.
