Jumbo Freighters for LoadAir Cargo

LoadAirKuwait based cargo airline, LoadAir Cargo announced recently that the new company has signed an agreement with the Boeing Company for the delivery of two 747-400 Extended Range Freighter aircraft.

Announced during the 2008 Farnborough Air Show, the two aircraft are scheduled for delivery to LoadAir Cargo in the first few months of 2009.  Both aircraft sport the distinctive nose door which easily accommodates over-size cargoes, as well as side door access that provides superior efficiency and flexibility in ground operations.

Commenting on the agreement with Boeing, LoadAir Cargo Chairman, Sheikh Khalifa Ali Al-Sabah, remarked that the del represented a major investment for the company and that it "demonstrates our commitment to build a world-class cargo airline business based in Kuwait.  The 747-400ERF has demonstrated the ability to perform unmatched cargo operations across the globe, and we look forward to employing our new freighters to offer a competitive solution to customers worldwide."

Boeing Vice President for Sales in the Middle East and Africa, Lee Monson also hailed the deal, saying that "In selecting the 747-400ERF, we are confident that LoadAir joins a group of cargo operators that are flying the demonstrated superior heavy freighter in operation today."

Starting operations in 2005, Load Air Cargo holds an exclusive licence for the carriage of air cargo to and from Kuwait.  The airline plans to continue to develop a comprehensive range of cargo operations and services in the foreseeable future, managed from the company’s Kuwait City headquarters.
