CEVA Restructures Worldwide Logistics and Freight Business

CEVA Logistics CEVA Logistics, the Dutch based company formed by the merger of merger of the former TNT Logistics with EGL Eagle Global Logistics in 2007, has announced that the company is to significantly restructure its logistics and freight business.

According to a statement released to the press, CEVA  will restructure it business initially by having four Regional Presidents  who will be responsible for running the integrated businesses in Contract Logistics (CL) and Freight Management (FM).

Indicating that the changes were effective immediately, CEVA announced the appointees as:

  • Joe Bento, President, Americas and Global FM network
  • Vittorio Favati, President, Asia-Pacific
  • Bruno Sidler, President, Northern Europe
  • Gianfranco Sgro, President, Southern Europe, Middle East & Africa.
  • Joe Bento will retain responsibility for the FM network to ensure cross-regional effectiveness around the world.

    Commenting on the changes, the Chief Executive Officer of CEVA Logistics, John Patullo said that the changes would drive growth and "bring our business even closer to customers and help us meet their growing need for integrated solutions."

    Patullo also indicated that the Automotive, Technology, and Consumer/Retail sectors will be central to the company’s fortunes and as such have figured in CEVA’s restructure.  Identified as CEVA’s "global sector teams", Patullo remarked that the teams will "shape sector strategy, lead product development, co-ordinate our Century (Top 100) key accounts, and act as trouble-shooters whenever sector-specific issues emerge.”

    CEVA Logistics currently employs more than 54,000 people with an extensive network of more than 1,000 locations around the world, with 8.6 million square meters in over 100 countries.
