Nice One FedEx
Subsidiary of FedEx Corporation, the worldwide package delivery company, FedEx Express last week made one of what has to be one of the most fulfilling deliveries, delivering a US$10,000 dollar cheque to Australia’s Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS), South Eastern Section.
The donation from FedEx Express will enable the RFDS South Eastern Section
to purchase a portable ultrasound machine. The hand carried, lightweight piece of equipment will enable Medical Officers and Flight Nurses to deliver safer, fast care, whilst in the air.
John Gall OAM, President of the Royal Flying Doctor Service South Eastern Section welcomed the donation, noting that “The generous support of companies like FedEx help us provide aero-medical emergency and primary healthcare services to people who live, work and travel in regional and remote Australia.” Gall went on, “We would like to thank FedEx very much for their generous donation.”
The donation was made to the Royal Flying Doctors Service at the South Eastern Section’s Bankstown Base, during celebrations for the renowned organisations eightieth year of operations.
